The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Rotarians believe in service above self and we use the four way test as a way of ensuring that we are doing our best for others in our community. The Four Way Test is: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build good will? 4. Will it build better friendships?
As the Monroe Rotary Club we have done so many projects over the years to help those locally in our community and also around the world. Here are just a few of the projects that we have done: Distribute dictionaries to the 3rd graders every year, scholarships for seniors in high school, the pavilion at Wolfe Park, the Rotary room at the library, solar panels on a school in Africa, AEDs in many locations around town, food drives, grants to the food pantry, support for Masuk’s Interact Club, youth exchange programs, sock drive, student service above self awards, and so much more!
Come and join us any Thursday for breakfast to find out more about the Monroe Rotary Club and ways you can help the community as well!
